2005 FIA World Rally Championship for Drivers 

FIA WORLD RALLY CHAMPIONSHIP FOR DRIVERS 
1. GENERAL PROVISIONS 
The FIA organises the FIA World Rally Championship for Drivers (the Championship) which is the property of 
the FIA; the classification of the Championship is determined by the results obtained in the qualifying rallies. 

2. QUALIFYING RALLIES 
The Championship comprises a maximum of 16 events. 

3. SCALE OF POINTS 
Points are awarded in each rally taking into account the general classification according to the following scale : 

1st-10 points 

2nd-8 points 

3rd-6 points 

4th-5 points 

5th-4 points 

6th-3 points 

7th-2 points 

8th-1 point 

4. CLASSIFICATION 
4.1 The classification is established taking into account the total number of rallies. The driver having 
totalled the highest number of points at the end of the year is declared World Rally Champion Driver. 
4.2 A title of World Rally Champion Co-driver is also awarded with the same scale of points applicable to 
the drivers.
